Cultural exchanges, conferences, interventions in cultural events, congresses and seminars, studies and research form part of its role as an intermediary.

Intermediary actions will have a local, national or European character and will be demonstrated by the production of “teaching” resources. These will be used to transmit, popularise and spread knowledge.

They will specifically be addressed to the public and to a younger public, students and high school students, taking the form of conferences, participation in scientific, cultural and technical activities and other promotional or communications events.

Any structure representing a wine-making territory may become a member. The candidate structure should satisfy statutory requirements and offer at least one element of wine-making heritage which complies with the certification criteria in order to be registered on the Cultural Itinerary of the Council of Europe;

This element will carry and display the Iter Vitis certification (plaque, logos of Iter Vitis and the Council of Europe should be affixed and mentioned on all documents)

Independently of belonging to a member region, a private or public structure may itself apply for registration on the Itinerary and must follow the same procedure.

It is the Council of Administration that decides on applications and membership validation.

Applications must be addressed to the Head Office of the Association. A form is provided for this purpose. It is available on request.
