Gaillac scenery

The Gaillac vineyard landscape is built around three territories: the left bank, the right bank and the Cordes plateau. The oldest wine-making estates were set up along the communication routes, particularly the length of the Tarn, a navigable route which was, at one time, very busy. Paradoxically, the extent of these exploitations is as vast as the plots are divided and broken. The original landscape is punctuated by vine cabins and dovecotes, witnesses of the development of wine-making practices.
